Our entire hospital, including our five state-of-the-art operating theatres, is built according to World Health Organization regulatory measures, ensuring the highest standards for our patients. |

We have a minor surgical theatre in order to increase the number of surgeries we can offer our patients in a day. We also have a specialized Septic Theatre for infected patients with negative pressure, where air is sucked out to prevent infection from spreading. |

We offer a wide range of surgeries from daycare to overnight procedures and have access to a highly equipped Intensive Care Unit and a blood bank within the hospital. Supporting staff that include highly qualified anaesthetists and nursing staff are on hand during all surgical procedures. |

Introducing the Guided Airflow system to Sri Lanka’s operating theatres, Hemas Hospital sets a benchmark in the industry. Most hospitals have conventional vertical airflow systems where air flows from top to bottom, increasing the risk of infection for patients during surgical procedures. However, with our horizontal flow of air in our Guided Airflow system, infection risk is totally minimized. |

Additionally, our theatre complex is designed to promote an ‘ultra clean’ environment with a special one-way traffic system from the operating theatre for unclean items, such as gauze and linen which could cause infection, and a completely separate entrance for flow of 'clean traffic.' |
